I am originally from northern NJ. One of my first experiences with paint was when I was in kindergarten. Sunlight streamed in the window onto my easel, while I painted a blue sky with big white clouds, and green grass below. The beautiful color of my paints and the bright light of the sunshine streaming through the window, combined with the process of creating, made me very happy. It is a moment etched into my memory. As I got older, I continued to be interested in drawing and painting, and I particularly enjoyed drawing people.

I attended Kean University in NJ where I received a BA degree in Studio Art, and also attended figure drawing classes at the Art Students League in NYC. I've always been interested in drawing and painting nature. I was able to translate this skill into decorative and illustrative art. After moving to Rhode Island I worked at a major greeting card company, and eventually I began freelancing for some of the other major greeting card and giftware companies.

One of my favorite projects was my Christmas gift book, which was published in 1998. Since then I have broadened my scope to include digital art. The computer graphics programs allow me the freedom to experiment with color, and to draw in a very loose manner; something I really enjoy.
